May 23rd 2007 was the 300th Birthday of the Swedish scientist, Carl Linnaeus, who devised the Latin Binomial system of naming plants and animals. To celebrate this occasion, we will be weaving classification, sorting and naming activities into all the educational visits this year. For any teachers of Latin, we are offering sessions to introduce botanical Latin.
