Special Winter Openings
Join us for special winter openings and treat yourself to an unforgettable
botanical day out.
Breakfast, brunch, warming stew and mulled wine will be served by
our café. Free guided tours will highlight winter-flowering
shrubs and the shop will be selling unusual plants and, of course,
snowdrops. Visitors can also view a special collection of spring-flowering
bulbs.

Snowdrops have always provided one of the great delights of these openings. The Garden boasts a collection of over 75 species, largely grouped together as a tribute to some of the most famous snowdrop breeders of the 19th and 20th centuries. The Garden's publication, Snowdrop Days, detailing the history of the very British obsession with these delicate plants, will be on sale and our Snowdrop Theatre will once again be displaying some highlights of our collection.
