Donations

The Chelsea Physic Garden is a not-for-profit organisation and receives no funding from Government. Its main sources of income are from its 'Friends' and letting the Garden as a venue for events.

To carry out projects beyond the income provided by Friends membership and lettings, funding must be found from other sources such as charitable trusts, companies and the donations. If you would like to make a donation to support the general work of the Garden or to make a contribution towards a specific project, please contact the Curator on 020 7352 5646 x20 or send a donation directly to the Chelsea Physic Garden, 66 Royal Hospital Road, London SW3 4HS. Cheques should be made payable to: The Chelsea Physic Garden Company. Every little helps! No donation is too small.

Selected Projects Currently in Need of Funding are: (as of January 2008)

PROJECT 1- Sustainable Water Resource- Borehole- Cost: £75k (£35k to raise)
With water being the lifeblood of the Garden and weather patterns changing, the Garden would like to have its own sustainable water resource through the sinking of a borehole. This project will be linked to the new automated irrigation system which will enable the Garden to become environmentally sustainable in is use of water.

PROJECT 2 - Lighting of the Garden- Cost: £10k
A new plan to simply and elegantly light the Garden will happen in 2008 to accentuate and highlight the Embankment Wall and key areas and features within the Garden. This will enhance the view from the Embankment and will allow the Garden to be used more for evening activities as well.
