Four Seasons Hotel Park Lane partner with Chelsea Physic Garden to create its seasonal afternoon tea

The Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane has partnered with Chelsea Physic Garden to create an afternoon tea. The afternoon tea experience begins with the original hot chocolate recipe brought back by Sir Hans Sloane. The Garden Tea follows, with sandwiches, scones and jams made from the finest seasonal ingredients. The sweet selection of pastries inspired by different areas of the Garden, includes ‘Wild Strawberry and Poppy Macaron' and ‘Beehive’.

Screen Printing for Beginners

Screen printing is a versatile process that allows you to experiment with exciting and expressive techniques such as creating your own stencils to print with. In this hands on class you will be shown practical ways to implement your ideas. We will be exploring the building of colour onto sample prints and pushing boundaries within your designs. Come and discover the magic of our secret garden on a Sunday afternoon and evening. There will be tours, trails live music, numerous purveyors of drinks of various sorts (with free samples and demonstrations) and even pond dipping – Food and drinks will be available from our Tangerine Dream cafe.
Supper talk: Captain Bligh and the Breadfruit

While most people have heard of the mutiny on the Bounty in 1789, relatively few probably know that William Bligh fulfilled the mission which that thwarted – to transplant breadfruit from Tahiti to the West Indies –on a second voyage, with two ships, in 1791-93. This talk will explain the project, its problems, and the differing outcomes of these two remarkable Pacific voyages.
Supper talk: Delicious Garden Drinks

Spend the evening learning how to brew up delicious and healthy drinks from seasonal garden produce. Rachel de Thample, teacher at River Cottage and nutritional therapist Ciara Jean Roberts will take you on a delicious tasting tour of drinks using fruits, flowers and herbs such as Elderflower Kefir, Wild Cherry Kombucha and Rhubarb Ginger Beer. By the end of the evening you’ll know how to make your own and how to use them to make you feel amazing.
