Are you a people person dedicated to a high standard of customer service, who would like to spend time in London’s oldest botanic garden? We are looking for a team of friendly Stewards to be a welcoming presence in the Garden and help give our visitors an unforgettable experience.
Supper talk: The Social History of the Pub

It could be argued that the history of Britain’s relationship with drink mirrors the evolution of the nation, interwoven with themes from colonial and imperial history, industrialisation and social change. After a broad overview of this longer history, the talk will concentrate on the changing fortunes of the pub from the end of the eighteenth century to the middle of the twentieth, examining the reasons for its evolving uses, character and form.
Four Seasons Hotel Park Lane partner with Chelsea Physic Garden to create its seasonal afternoon tea

The Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane has partnered with Chelsea Physic Garden to create an afternoon tea. The afternoon tea experience begins with the original hot chocolate recipe brought back by Sir Hans Sloane. The Garden Tea follows, with sandwiches, scones and jams made from the finest seasonal ingredients. The sweet selection of pastries inspired by different areas of the Garden, includes ‘Wild Strawberry and Poppy Macaron' and ‘Beehive’.

Living Colour-a Natural Dyes Workshop

Explore the world of colour all around us. Why and how do plants and animals use it to their advantage? Work with the textile artist, Lara Hailey to create some uniquely dyed and beautifully colourful natural art to take away.

Join us to discover the bitter, sweet stories of our favourite brew All served with Studio Cultivate’s special blend of dynamic story-telling, dramatic adventure and brilliant botany. We will put our taste-buds to the test as we discover the chemistry behind the perfect cuppa.
Lotions and Magic Potions

Can a poison be a medicine? Explore a brief history of medicine and find out about the folklore of plants and ‘witch-craft’. Learn how the power of plants can heal and soothe. We will show you how to make some of your own natural and low-cost healing potions and plant a mini medicinal garden to take-away. For ages: 8+

Join us to look into the history, geography and science of chocolate and celebrate this very special plant-based food. The day will includes craft activities, a Garden tour, chocolate tasting and the chance to create your own mixtures to take away. For ages: 6 - 11
