Sunday 10th March 2019

This one-day workshop is the first of a five-part course to give you a grounding in looking after yourself using foods and herbs. It will cover the basics of: herbal therapeutics, identifying mint and other plant families, basic food self-care, and remedy making: herb chewing, herbal tea, breakfast smoothie, herb crush.

This award-winning course is for anyone interested in healing plants and foods, health, gardening or working with communities. It includes discussion, tasting and identifying healing plants, practical remedy making and assessing your own health and diet. It’s about the pleasure of sharing knowledge, growing, eating, drinking and turning that plant into a simple remedy!

Please bring your own apron if you wish and rainwear in case of poor weather for our herb walk in the garden. The fee for the day includes morning coffee/tea, lunch and afternoon tea with cake, along with handouts and a remedy to take home.

We strongly recommend attending this Self-Care Basics session before any of the next four Living Medicine sessions, to give a grounding in foods and herbs as medicine.
