Friday 12 March 2020 10am - 4pm

Join Mary Ellen Taylor from our Florilegium Society for a special botanical painting workshop. Spend the day connecting with nature at the inspiring Chelsea Physic Garden and become absorbed in creating a very personal Mother's Day card to cherish for a lifetime.

What the day will look like:

Mary Ellen will share with you some of the history of botanical art and its connection to the Chelsea Physic Garden. You will learn some of the techniques involved, with demonstrations on how to load your brush, painting washes and creating some of the final detailing.

Included in this workshop will be lunch at the Physic Garden Cafe, a pre-drawn card by Mary Ellen Taylor (or you can draw your own), a helpful handout and all the painting equipment you will need for the day.

The workshop is suitable for all abilities, including beginners.

Ticket price includes lunch and all materials.
