Tom Sargeant and Karoline Newman host a talk & tour around the new exhibition of artwork 'An Elixir of Letters" created by 15 of the UK’s foremost letter carvers displayed in the verdant surroundings of Chelsea Physic Garden from May. 

In ‘Journey of an Apprentice’, artist Tom Sargeant talks to  exhibition curator Karoline Newman about how carving is in his DNA, the tradition of letter carving and the invaluable support provided by a Lettering Arts Trust apprenticeship that enabled a fledgling artist to flourish.

The exhibition 'An Elixir of Letters' runs from May -October. There is an artist talk and guided tour the second Wednesday of each month at 2.30pm.

Please note the talks and tours are free however normal entry to the Garden applies 

The Lettering Arts Trust is a charitable trust based in Suffolk. Established in 1988, it has been supporting the art of lettering for 30 years.
