Thursday 25th July, 7-8pm

Guardian ‘New Vegan’ columnist Meera Sodha is the award-winning author of Made in India and Fresh India, with the latter named Observer Food Monthly's Best New Cookbook in 2017.

The following year, Meera added the Guild of Food Writers’ Cookery Writing Award and was named Fortnum & Mason’s Cookery Writer of the Year for her work in the Guardian.

Drawing from her column, Meera's third book East features brand-new recipes inspired by a wide range of Asian cuisines, all easy to make and bursting with exciting flavours.

Meera has teamed up with Tenderstem® broccoli and Rooted Spices to produce a Brassica Blend spice mix. Meera will give a talk about how spices have inspired her in cooking and writing, exploring the spice journey to encourage more people to experiment with flavour, with the founder of Rooted Spices on hand to talk about their single-origin spices.

For supper, the Physic Garden Café will serve Indian-spiced salad with Tenderstem®, paneer or tofu and beetroot using a recipe developed specifically for Tenderstem®.

During the year, we will be exploring the theme 'Food is Medicine' through workshops, family activities, supper talks and more. To stay informed, sign up to our mailing list or become a Friend of the Garden

The £17 ticket price includes the talk and entry to the Garden. The £34 ticket price also includes supper after the talk.
