Tree Identification seminar with a focus on fruits and seeds
Wednesday 17th October 2018, 12-4pm
With Letta Jones, Lecturer in Horticulture and Garden History.
This seminar will help you identify trees more easily and get to know more about special specimens within The Garden. It starts in the classroom with a practical session studying seeds, fruits and other details of trees helpful with identification.Then we will take a tree walk in the Chelsea Physic Garden to put  into practice all you have learned. You will develop skills and confidence to observe the key features which help to identify  trees generally, as well as being acquainted with a some of the magnificent specimens at Chelsea Physic Garden.
£37 price covers materials, refreshments and Garden entry.

Letta Jones, MA is a Landscape Horticulturalist who lectures in Horticulture and the History of Gardens. She was a garden guide at the Chelsea Physic Garden for 18 years and regularly contributes to its learning programme to this day. She teaches at the South London Botanical Institute, City Lit, Denman and Woodbrooke Colleges, at Knuston Hall and Marlborough College Summer School. A Green Flag Parks Judge, she also runs her own gardens study tours abroad.
