As summer begins to turn towards autumn, join us for a hands-on family workshop inspired by the small creatures that help keep the Garden alive.

Using natural materials such as twigs, leaves, conkers and acorns, families will create their own bugs, birds and imaginative garden creatures to take home. We’ll begin with a short trail through the Garden, looking closely at the shapes, textures and habitats around us, before returning to the workshop space to make, build and decorate.

This creative session is a chance to slow down, look closely and celebrate the brilliant little beings that share our world, from busy insects to garden birds and everything in between.

All tools and materials are provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note: 

• This event takes place upstairs in our ‘Gallery’ space. This is not wheelchair accessible but reached via a 22-step staircase with a handrail.
• Tickets include entry to the Garden for the whole day, you are welcome to come before the event. The Garden closes at 5pm.
• There are no discounts for Friends of the Garden.
