When the leaves turn golden and pumpkins appear, there’s magic in the air at Chelsea Physic Garden. Follow winding paths beneath old trees, past tangled vines, curious seed pods and cobwebs strung between the branches. Curious fruits hang among the leaves, and plants with peculiar powers have stories of their own…

This Halloween, join our storyteller for a spooky and magic adventure! We’ll start by embarking on a tour of this special garden, discovering the plants of spells and potions and hearing some wonderfully strange tales. How did witches make their flying ointment? What could turn a werewolf back into a person? And why should you never, ever pull up a mandrake?

With our heads full of magic and wonder, we’ll walk through fern glasshouses and underneath ancient trees to return to the cosy Enchanted Cottage for spooky (but fun!) stories of curious creatures, brave heroes, troublesome spells and Halloween mischief.

Tickets are £15 per child and £20 per adult. 

• This event takes place from Monday 26 October to Friday 30 October from 3pm-4pm or 4pm-5pm
• This event will last approximately 45 mins and will be located throughout the Garden and inside.
• This event will go ahead whatever the weather, unless it becomes unsafe to do so. You should dress appropriately for the Great British weather. Please note that the performance takes place in different locations throughout the Garden.
• There are no discounts for members.
• Children must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult at all times.
• Dressing up is warmly encouraged!
