Spend a day at Chelsea Physic Garden, immersed in the beauty of pollinators and the flowers that sustain them. This botanical painting workshop offers a chance to observe, appreciate, and paint the delicate relationship between bees, butterflies, moths, and their nectar-rich plants.
Guided by an expert botanical artist, you will explore the vibrant summer flora of the Garden, capturing both the intricate details of pollinators and the plants they rely on. Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced artist, this workshop provides an inspiring and relaxed setting to develop your skills in botanical watercolour and drawing.

Workshop Highlights
- In-Situ Sketching: Work directly from nature, taking inspiration from the wildflowers and pollinator-friendly plants thriving in the Garden.
- Expert guidance: Receive guidance from an expert botanical artist, with tips and techniques to capture movement, texture, and colour in your work.
- Materials Provided: All necessary drawing and painting materials will be available, though you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
Workshop Details
- Date & Time: Doors open at 10:00 am; the workshop runs from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.
- Location: First-floor Gallery at Chelsea Physic Garden (please note, this space is not wheelchair accessible).
- Tickets: £65 per person or £5 for young people (29 and under) via application.
- Lunch: Not included – participants are encouraged to bring their own.
