Chelsea Physic Garden is delighted to present a ‘companion to the Garden’. This guide book can be used to accompany a visit to the Garden but also makes a great souvenir.
It provides an insight into the Garden’s rich history, current plant collections and botanical work, and traces the Garden’s history from its founding by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London in 1673.
Written by a previous Head Gardener, Nick Bailey, the book takes the reader through the Garden with beautiful photography illustrating the history and importance of each area on the detailed map.
The book covers all aspects of the Garden, even including an instruction on the understanding and de-coding of plant labels.
