Get your explorer hat on and get lost in our urban jungle. Discover minibeasts in our forest, find creatures of the deep in our pond or study exotic plant life in our tropical corridor. With this summer’s Family Fridays, each week will bring a new adventure!
Family Fridays run every Friday throughout July – August and all activities are included in the admission price.
For those that prefer a relaxed summer holiday, why not check out our range of kid friendly events, from craft workshops to theatre, musical folklore to wellness tours, there’s something for everyone.

Pick up a free children's trail
Little Explorers Discovery Trail
Pick up this trail that’s focused on wellness for kids. Filled with activities and games to help your little ones explore the Garden mindfully, they will be filled with the calm that only nature can provide. Take it home and use anytime you’re in a green space!
Wildlife Spotter Trail
This trail is for those adventurers who want to spot the wildlife living right here in the Garden. Use the handy map inside and find the animals dotted around the Garden. Can you complete our animal themed games and quizzes?
Family events
Explore, create and have fun with our range of family activities
Family Activity Days
Explore, create and have fun with our range of family activities, from exploring the world of mini-beasts to learning how to make your own herbal remedies and chocolate blends, we have something that will inspire and engage a range of ages. These events will take place in all the school holidays (except the Christmas Break).
They cost:
- £12 per person for a half day events
- £17 per person for full day events
Please note:
Children must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult (events for teenagers are an exception to this).
There is no discount for Friends of the Garden.
