Performers:
Lucine Musaelian
Lucine Musaelian an Armenian-American viola da gamba player, singer, and composer whose work spans early music, folk traditions, and contemporary experimentation. A graduate of Yale and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, and a current Royal Academy Chamber Fellow, she is known for her rare talent of self-accompaniment, singing while playing the gamba, bringing intimacy and innovation to both Baroque and folk repertoires.
Her work with ensembles such as Intesa and Bellot explores the resonances between early music and traditional songs, especially from her ancestral Armenia. Lucine’s performances, including with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Phantasm, and Dunedin Consort, reflect her deep interest in storytelling through music, whether interpreting 17th-century Italian love songs or reinventing ancient Armenian poetry with a modern, improvisatory touch.
Tog Fàire
Simon Stallard is a flautist, prize-winning Scottish Gaelic singer and music researcher with a background in the Scottish and Irish traditions. Jake Tweddle is a contemporary guitarist and arranger, always in high demand both on stage and in the studio.
As duo Tog Fàire they’ve found their stride, performing fiery reimagined sets with a contemporary spin, alongside longing, beautiful airs and songs. Whether they’re playing toe-tapping tunes by modern composers at the heart of the living Scottish folk scene, or ancient melodies that can be traced back centuries, they love the stories behind this music and its roots, whether old or new.
Benjamin Yellowitz
Well-toured, queer Singer/Songwriter brings their soulful voice, guitar percussion and honest lyrics to form a style of Neo-Folk that takes audiences from intimate silence to beautiful sing-alongs.
Vasileios Voulgaropoulos, Greek folk guitarist and musician. His duo will take us on a journey across the Southeast Balkan Peninsula — a resonance between Greece, Turkey, and Bulgaria.
