Community Friends

Support London's Garden to support Londoners

For over 350 years Chelsea Physic Garden has supported its community. When we first started, this meant growing healing herbs to fight illness. Today, the same plants grow in our Garden but how we help has changed. Green spaces where people can connect with nature are becoming more important. Research tells us that gardens can support people’s mental health, inspire learning, and help to create new relationships.

Our Community Friends programme is open to individuals who participate in the Garden’s community projects and organisations that provide services to people who may not be able to enjoy membership of Chelsea Physic Garden independently. Community Friends receive a discount of over 50% on our membership fees whilst still being able to access all of the benefits, including:

  • Free entry to the Chelsea Physic Garden Christmas Fair
  • Free entry to our partner gardens
  • Early entry to the Garden (one hour before public opening)
  • Monthly e-newsletter containing Garden highlights, activities, and events

There are three categories of membership:

One named cardholder with option to bring one family guest.

Joint Friend - £30
