Spend an afternoon on Sunday 29th June, immersing yourself in ancient folklore and enchanting tales, letting the Garden’s mystical atmosphere ignite your imagination. Listen to captivating stories of old, drawing inspiration from the whispering leaves and the secrets held within these ancient walls as summer’s breath surrounds you.

Guided by Helen Haxell-White, you’ll explore free writing exercises, evocative prompts, and practical techniques designed to unlock your creative voice. You will channel your inner mystic, journey to forgotten times, and weave spells with your words.

Discover compelling characterisation, draw inspiration from the vibrant nature surrounding you, and play with the potent themes of folklore, nature, and magic during this powerful and ever-changing Solstice season. Transform the blank page and bring your own magical stories to life.

Tutor Bio:

Helen Haxell-White  

Helen Haxell-White is a professional storyteller who runs creative writing workshops on the paranormal in Somerset, where she is based. Originally from Suffolk, ghost stories and the paranormal have been under her skin from an early age. Helen can often be found after dark, exploring historical monuments and dark woods to get her heart racing and feel the fear for creative inspiration.

Helen is currently finalising her ghost story anthology, titled 33 Ghosts, which is a collection of flash fiction for the digital age.
