The Garden’s remarkable library is a relatively unknown treasure – even to the Garden itself. With volunteer help and expertise, we recently completed a detailed audit of our collection.

There are just under 50 items that require minor conservation, with some that are high priority.
Of these many suffer from having detached covers, fragile spines, and, in places, torn pages. Our ten key volumes have been assessed by our friends at Peter Harrington Rare Books, with an average repair cost of £300 per item.
