Peatlands: A Journey Between Land and Water
About the event
Blending personal memoir with ecological insight and cultural history, Alys Fowler explores the emotional and environmental significance of bogs, places that are neither fully land nor water.
From the Flow Country in Scotland to the mossy depths of the Peak District, she reveals how peatlands hold ancient stories, support unique biodiversity, and play a crucial role in climate regulation.
Deeply reflective and poetic, Alys’s latest book is a call to notice, protect and cherish these overlooked and essential parts of our natural world.
