Compost and Soil Workshop

Thursday 4 July 2024, 11:30am - 1pm
£15

Whether you have a heap, bin or wormery, we lift the lid on the world of compost and teach you how to make the ultimate ‘black gold’. Produce great compost and reduce what you throw away.

In this workshop you will learn how to improve the quality of your soil through simple processes to enable your plants to flourish. You will find out more about the wonderful creatures lurking in a typical compost heap and how they are beneficial to the composting process. You will get a chance to visit our own newly refurbished compost bins and see how the oldest botanical garden in London makes its own compost!

This workshop will be practical and hands on.  The event will go ahead whatever the weather, unless it becomes unsafe to do so. You should dress appropriately for the Great British weather.
