Following their sold-out Discovering Women’s Health Through Herbal Wisdom series in 2024, Maya Thomas (Herbologist) and Natasha Richardson (Medical Herbalist and founder of Forage Botanicals) return to London’s oldest botanical garden in 2025 with an exciting series of monthly talks across spring and summer.

Each session is designed to equip you with practical herbal knowledge, empowering you to use herbs confidently in everyday life—whether in the kitchen or garden, in a recipe, or as a simple remedy.

Upcoming Talks

Tuesday 3rd June, 6:30pm–8pm: Women’s Health & Herbs: Managing Blood Sugar – Chelsea Physic Garden

An increasing body of research highlights the vital role of blood sugar regulation in overall health. Natasha and Maya will delve into how herbs can support balanced blood sugar levels—and the positive impact this can have on hormonal wellbeing.

Tuesday 8th July, 6:30pm–8pm: Women’s Health: Herbs & Antibiotics – Chelsea Physic Garden

Antibiotic Anxiety—stress created from the overuse of antibiotics—is at an all-time high, yet these drugs are crucial to our survival. How can we navigate the necessity and the negatives? This talk explores nature’s own antibiotics, plus surprising research into hormonal conditions affected by antibiotic use, and how herbs are helping shape the future of this class of medicine.

What to expect at both talks:

  • In-depth exploration of several herbs and their therapeutic properties

  • Plant identification and growing tips

  • Seasonal remedy and recipe tastings

  • Interactive Q&A session with expert herbal advice
