Chelsea Physic Garden and Botanical Art with Mary Ellen Taylor

Monday 2 February 2021 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Digital Talk and Demonstration Ticket: £15 per device. Recording only: £5

Join us for a conversation about botanical art with Chelsea Physic Garden’s Florilegium Society Chair, Mary Ellen Taylor.

During this event you will have the opportunity to learn a bit about botanical art history and it’s relationship to Chelsea Physic Garden, share images of paintings from our Florilegium archive, and Mary Ellen will guide us through a demonstration of how to paint a spring flower.

You are welcome to watch with your own watercolours and paint along at home, or simply use this time to ‘take notice’ and watch the beautiful process involved in creating botanic art.

Booking information:

Please note this is a remote digital workshop and will require you to use the video conferencing system “Zoom” Webinar.

You will be sent a link to the event on Friday 29 January and a reminder on the day. You will be muted on arrival and will only able to see the panelists, your video will not be visible. You will be able to participate and ask questions throughout using the ‘Chat’ and ‘Q&A’ function.

For recording only tickets we will send the recording of the botanical painting demonstration only, which will be approximately 25 minutes long, this will be sent to you after the event.
