Calling all little monsters and their grown-up ghouls! Get into the Halloween spirit at Chelsea Physic Garden with a fang-tastic pumpkin-painting workshop.

Begin by exploring the Garden’s autumn wonders and discovering how pumpkins grow. You’ll then creep into the Potting Shed, where children and grown-ups can transform their pumpkins into colourful characters with creative and spooky designs.

Will you make a friendly pumpkin companion, a gruesome garden monster or something entirely unexpected? Take your creation home at the end of the workshop and give your new pumpkin friend pride of place this Halloween.

What to Expect

Explore the Garden on a short, family-friendly introduction to pumpkins and other autumnal plants before heading into the Potting Shed for a hands-on painting activity.

Experiment with colours, patterns and spooky designs to bring your pumpkin to life. Please dress for the weather and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a little paint on!

Who Is It For?

This workshop is designed for children aged 5 and over and their grown-up ghouls. Children must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult throughout the session.
