The Big Give Christmas Challenge

A Garden for All: Engaging Londoners with Nature

Donate to our Big Give Christmas Challenge

Between 29 November and 6 December Chelsea Physic Garden will be fundraising as part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s largest match funding campaign. Our campaign – A Garden for All: Engaging Londoners with Nature – is raising funds to support our Learning and Engagement Team to run educational activities, encourage people to visit our heritage and horticulture, and provide our local community with access to nature.

All donations will be doubled until we reach our £14,000 target, thanks to a few of our generous supporters who have pledged match funds. One donation makes twice the impact!

Please donate now and share our campaign if you can.

About our campaign

Sadly, Kensington and Chelsea and all its neighbouring boroughs are some of the most green-space deprived neighbourhoods in England. We know we need nature, yet the funding for green space in London has reduced by 30% in the last ten years, creating even more barriers for people to experience the power of nature.

Whether it is for health and wellbeing, learning, or leisure, Chelsea Physic Garden is an important, protected green space in London. We are proud to say that our Learning and Engagement Programmes directly impact over 8000 people each year, many of whom would otherwise experience a barrier to visiting. We know people ‘breathe better’ here, their ‘minds are happier’. The Garden recently lost some of its grant funding so urgently needs your support, so that our programmes can continue to engage people with nature throughout 2023.

Any donation you make to our Big Give Christmas Challenge will be doubled, with the help of a few of our supporters who have already pledged £7,000 to our cause.

Help us give the gift of nature.
