Keeping houseplants happy through winter
Houseplants are a great way to decorate our homes, they have a positive impact on our wellbeing and help to clean our air too, however during the winter months they can suffer from us not knowing how to best care for them.
For this event, Chelsea Physic Garden will discuss with Saskia Tompsett, from Canopy Plants, how to best look after your houseplants in winter. Saskia will share care tips, recommend the best plants for beginners, and which plants suit the different rooms in our homes.
You will have an opportunity to ask questions and hopefully find the answer to that age-old question ‘am I watering my plants too much or too little?’

Organiser
Saskia is the founder of Peckham based business, Canopy Plants.
Saskia grew up on a farm surrounded by nature and a long way from everything else and she couldn’t wait to leave and get to London! Slowly over the decade of living in the city, she yearned more and more for the countryside that she was from. She found herself returning to nature to relax and relieve stress. This isn’t an option for everyone so Canopy Plants was born – bringing plants to the people.
Canopy Plants are a small business and do almost everything themselves, they offer a range of plants and a subscription service, where you can get plants delivered to your door throughout the year.
