Sip & Spell: A Tea Ritual for Intentions
Join kitchen witch Laura May for Sip & Spell, an intimate, hands-on workshop where tea becomes a vessel for intention and magic. You’ll be introduced to twelve carefully selected dried herbs and flowers – along with a few of Laura’s homemade syrups from her book, Kitchen Magic; 65 Enchanting Recipes for a Cosy Witchy Kitchen.
You will be guided through the folklore, symbolism, and magical properties of each plant. You will then be able to craft your own custom loose-leaf tea blends based on your personal intentions. As your tea steeps, Laura will lead a gentle ritual, teaching you the sigil method made popular by London spiritualist Austin Osman Spare – an empowering way to turn your intention into a symbol of magic and a little piece of occult London history.
This is a sensory and soulful introduction to kitchen witchery through the art of tea. Learn how to blend herbs with purpose, charge your cup with meaning, and sip with ceremony.
All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your favourite mug to make the experience more personal.
