Walking Tour: Americans in Chelsea

Americans have been associated and drawn to Chelsea for centuries. This walking tour traces not only Americans but American connections to Chelsea, which remain forever linked in how they lived, died and continue to be associated with the area.

From the Royal Hospital Chelsea to homes of American and American / British citizens to their final burial places, come along on this walk as we cover the hybrid existences of Americans in Chelsea.

Includes stops at: Royal Hospital Chelsea, Chelsea Physic Garden, Chelsea Old Church and St Mary’s Church of Battersea.

Please note: This walk will start at the National Army Museum, not Chelsea Physic Garden and last approximately 2 hours.

About the speaker

Lisa Lu of Eclectic Tours is a holder of a Golden Key Badge from Open City. Lisa is an American who has lived in London for over 15 years.  Originally from Los Angeles, she has lived in New York and Chicago and has a background in theatre and film.
