Calling all little witches, wizards and curious potion-makers! Discover the plants behind magical seasonal drinks in this playful family workshop at Chelsea Physic Garden.

Set off through the autumnal Garden in search of plants used in drinks, sweets, medicines and feasts. From fragrant herbs and seasonal fruits to tropical treasures growing under glass, we’ll follow a trail of scents, stories and surprising flavours.

You’ll then return to our workshop space to brew your own delicious botanical potion. Measure, pour, mix and taste fruit juices, herbs and other garden-inspired ingredients as you conjure up a spooky drink of your own creation.

What to Expect

Explore Chelsea Physic Garden and discover some of the fascinating plants that have been used to flavour drinks, make medicines and create sweet treats throughout history.

Children will smell fresh herbs, taste different ingredients and practise measuring, pouring and mixing as they create their own drinkable botanical potion.

Who Is It For?

This workshop is suitable for children aged 5 and over and their grown-up ghouls.

Every child must be accompanied by an adult throughout the workshop. Tickets are required for both children and their accompanying adults.
