Witch’s Hat Making Workshop
As the witching hour approaches, no Halloween outfit is complete without a suitably spectacular hat.
Spend a creative afternoon in the beautifully autumnal Chelsea Physic Garden for a playful, hands-on workshop in which adults and children can decorate their own witch’s hat to wear and take home.
Choose from black, green or purple hats, with bendy or straight points, before exploring an abundant collection of ribbons, netting, stars, creepy-crawlies and other Halloween embellishments.
Will yours be darkly beautiful, wonderfully freakish, fabulously fashionable or thoroughly menacing. Jessica and Shirley will help you experiment with colour, texture and decoration to create a hat that is entirely your own.
What to Expect
Begin by choosing your hat and developing an idea for your design. demonstrate different ways to arrange, layer and attach decorations before helping you bring your creation to life.
This is a relaxed and imaginative crafting workshop, with plenty of materials to explore and individual guidance available throughout. Fancy dress is warmly encouraged!

Who Is It For?
This family-friendly workshop is suitable for adults and children. No previous crafting or sewing experience is needed.
Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session. Each person wishing to decorate and take home a hat will require their own ticket.
