Folklore Feast of Darkness
As the nights draw in and the dark half of the year begins, join writer and kitchen witch Laura May for an atmospheric evening of food, folklore and seasonal ritual.
Set within the ancient surroundings of Chelsea Physic Garden this is a feast inspired by remembrance, autumn’s deepening colours and a touch of black magic.
The evening begins with a Midnight Gilda and Blackthorn Martini opening ceremony, before rosemary soul cakes invite a moment of remembrance. From black sesame and miso-glazed aubergine to pumpkin gnocchi and smoked rosemary, the meal moves through earthy flavours, fragrant herbs and the rich, dark colours of the season.
Expect an evening that is part supper, part seasonal gathering, with food and ritual woven together. Black Magic Cake leads into a final balsamic brownie closing ceremony, with a wormwood blood shot for those brave enough.
