Chelsea Heritage Quarter Trustee
About the role:
Chelsea Heritage Quarter is seeking a Trustee with a professional qualification in, and senior level experience of, charity law in the culture/heritage/GLAM sector to support the Chelsea Heritage Quarter (CHQ) Board. There is an opportunity for the appointed Trustee to Chair the CHQ Board.
Chelsea Heritage Quarter (CHQ) was launched in July 2024 to explore 350 years of history inspired by the rich heritage of three remarkable Chelsea institutions. We do this through a year-round programme of events, walking tours, installations and family activities. Our flagship event is the Chelsea History Festival, which attracts over 10,000 people in September each year.
As a Trustee of CHQ you will work with fellow Trustees to form an effective, accountable governing body for CHQ, ensuring that it adheres to its charitable objectives.

Marketing Manager
Position: 12 Month Maternity Cover, full-time.
Salary: £30,900.
About the role:
CPG is seeking a Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover) to deliver our ambitious communications and marketing strategy. The Marketing Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of the Garden’s communications channels, including email, paid and organic social media, website content, and press/PR enquiries. This role ensures that all marketing activity is efficient, effective, and aligned with the Garden’s objectives.
The Marketing Manager will design, deliver, and evaluate multi-channel campaigns that support the Garden’s strategic priorities, driving engagement, awareness, and measurable return on investment.
They will also oversee the planning and execution of seasonal and thematic campaigns connected to the Garden’s public programmes and activities.
As guardian of the Garden’s brand, the Marketing Manager will ensure all communications are consistent with the Garden’s house style, supporting colleagues across the organisation to produce materials that are accurate, professional, and on-brand.

Horticultural Administrator
Position: Part-time, 17.5 hours per week.
Salary: £13,259.

Chelsea Physic Garden, a historic and much-loved botanical garden founded in 1673, is seeking a part-time Horticulture Team administrator to support its horticulture team for 2.5 days per week, typically across 3 days. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of horticultural operations, providing vital administrative support including procurement of plants, tools, and materials, maintaining accurate records and filing systems, managing supplier communications, assisting with scheduling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures. Working closely with the Head of Plant Collections and wider team, the successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and collaborative, playing a key behind-the-scenes role in maintaining the high standards of this historic garden and contributing to its continued legacy as a centre of plant science and conservation.

The Membership Manager plays a pivotal role in growing and developing CPG’s membership community, supporting our organisational ambition to inspire wonder, wellbeing and discovery by uniting people with plants that heal. With a strong focus on membership sales and retention, customer engagement, and visitor conversion, the postholder will drive the growth of the membership base and deliver an excellent standard of service across all membership touchpoints.

Become a Horticultural Trainee
Horticultural traineeships give trainees a chance to experience the various aspects of working in a small botanic garden, gaining experience in practical horticulture and the management of a unique plant collection, with scientific research and educational applications, both outdoors and under glass.
Our 2023/2024 Horticultural Trainee is generously supported by the Rick Mather and David Scrase Foundation.
An additional two-year entry-level trainee post is funded as part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund project to restore our historic glasshouses, our thanks go to all the funders.
